About GTA VI Release
Grand Theft Auto VI releases on Thursday, November 19, 2026 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S — and this live GTA 6 countdown tracks every day, hour, minute and second until the most anticipated video game in history finally arrives.
GTA VI returns the series to Vice City — Rockstar's neon-soaked take on Miami — within the larger state of Leonida, and introduces the franchise's first female protagonist, Lucia, in a Bonnie-and-Clyde story alongside Jason. The reveal trailer shattered records as the most-viewed video game trailer ever within 24 hours, and every subsequent drop of footage has become a global event in itself.
The wait has been epic: GTA V launched in 2013 and went on to sell over 200 million copies, making it the most profitable entertainment product ever — a bar GTA VI is widely expected to clear. Analysts forecast the biggest entertainment launch in history, with first-weekend revenue projected beyond $1 billion. After two delays, November 19, 2026 is the date Rockstar has committed to — and the counter above is watching it.
